Lockheed to work with Vestal firm, Diamond Visionics will provide 3D software

Lockheed Martin has selected Diamond Visionics and Concurrent to provide real-time visual systems for some of its labs and demonstration centers, the companies announced Wednesday.

Lockheed Martin has selected Diamond Visionics and Concurrent to provide real-time visual systems for some of its labs and demonstration centers, the companies announced Wednesday.

Lockheed will use the three-dimensional software and image-generating technology for various simulation devices at its systems integration facility in Owego; at its Center for Innovation in Norfolk, Va.; and at its Rotary Wing Demonstration Center in Arlington, Va.

Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

Vestal-based Diamond Visionics was founded in 1996. The company focuses on developing visual systems, including image generators, databases and display technology. The company employs about 30 people.

Concurrent operates worldwide but has national headquarters in Duluth, Ga. The company said it is a leading provider of high-performance, real-time Linux software and solutions for commercial and government markets.
