The Mission of the Greater Binghamton Innovation Center
is to promote job creation and economic growth by creating
an environment to assist entrepreneurs and high value start
up companies and provide them with the best opportunity to be successful.
Admission Guidelines
Start up companies and entrepreneurs who are seeking to
locate in the center must:
Fill out an application form >>

Provide a written business plan
Offer a high value product or service that can be
commercialized
Evaluation Guidelines
The Greater Binghamton Economic Development Project Team
will review each of the applications and will be based but
not limited to these criteria:
Is their potential for annual revenue growth and job
creation
Is their a market for the applicants product or service
Have applicant principal(s) demonstrated personal
investment and commitment to their startup
Have the applicant principal(s) passed credit and
reference checks
Is the applicant financially able to pay the anticipated
costs of being an Innovation Center tenant
Is applicant committed to regular meetings with mentors
and center management and submit periodic financial
statements for review
Does the applicant intend to stay in Greater Binghamton
Will applicants on-site operation be environmentally sound
and non-hazardous and not involve the use or production of
hazardous material
Client Graduation Guidelines
The goal of the Innovation Center is to have each applicant
graduate before or at the end of a three year lease. The
criteria will be based on the establishment of a three year
business plan that will have established goals and
benchmarks that will be mutually agreed to by applicant and
Innovation Center management.
Clients may be asked to leave the Innovation Center if:
Have spent three years as a tenant of the center
Have violated the terms and conditions of their lease or
center policies
Are delinquent in payment of rent
